Radio Silence is available on my blog for a very short time. In the coming weeks, it will become part of a short story anthology that I will be selling on Amazon to benefit Operation Homefront.
I hoped to get a prompt that would stretch my writing muscles. This isn’t like the flash fiction contests where we only have 48 hours to pen a story. I have eight whole days! Something that requires research would be amazing!
And I got it!
The truth is, back then, I’d given up on writing fiction. It wasn’t that I didn’t have ideas… it wasn’t that I lacked the time (well, any more than I do now)…
Back then, I felt storm-beaten and time-worn. At that point in my life, I was exhausted on every level. I’d completely lost touch with myself.

Today’s NaNo post asks us to describe our writing soundtrack. I covered this one not too long ago, so I’m going off script. I want to say something… and I mean this from the very bottom of my heart and with every fiber of my being. Writers are awesome. They are the most amazing, wonderful,… Continue reading NaNo 4 – Going Off Script
It’s t-minus-13 days to NaNoWriMo. Last year was my first time participating. About this point in… Continue reading Day 35 – Onward!
We’re one post away from the end of the 35 day Author Blog Challenge. Our prompt today is for feedback – what was good about the challenge, what we enjoyed, what could be improved. First off, I’d like to hear from my readers! What have you enjoyed about this blog (and the others from my… Continue reading Day 34 – Reflections
And, now you’re going to be singing that all day. You’re welcome. Today’s blog challenge asks, “What’s next?” That is a fantastic question. I get ideas constantly, and I want to write ALL THE THINGS. But, given my schedule and my day job, prioritizing is a must. My writing priorities are (and in very specific… Continue reading Day 33: It’s Just Around the River Bend
Today’s post is a dedication to all the people who helped me get to the point I’m at right now: On the brink of my first major publication. My first thought is, “Crap. I’m going to forget someone.” So I’ll just start way back at the beginning, and work my way up to the now.… Continue reading Day 32 – My Rising Stars
There are so many books I want to read. Sadly, I have very little time to devote to reading. However… here is my To Be Read (TBR) List of the moment. First and foremost is Grave Beginnings by R.R Virdi. I’ve been following this author on Facebook since last year (or, we’ve been following each… Continue reading Day 31 – TBR List
