Life In General

No Fear

stock-footage-woman-walking-into-the-sea-at-sunsetWhat would life be without challenges?

It would be a whole lot easier, that’s for sure.

My plan was to start full-time freelancing on Monday. That isn’t going to happen. Full-time freelance will happen, just not Monday. It’s a very long story, and not one I’ll bore you with.

Instead, I’ll share with you a dream I had last night.

I walked barefoot all the way to the ocean. That’s a really long way through the desert.  By the time I arrived, my feet bled and my skin peeled from sunburn.

When I arrived, I found myself in a closed-up hotel room with a stranger, and I was completely naked. I was curled up on the bed, afraid of what came next. But then a woman…. she was dressed like housekeeping, but I knew she wasn’t… she poked her head in and said, “You’re not supposed to be in here. Go to the ocean.”

So I walked out onto the beach, naked…. and someone said, “The current is too strong today. You’ll get pulled under.”

I said, “Yeah, I know.” And I walked into the water….

Life happens, but we shouldn’t give up on ourselves because of the tough parts.

In the next couple days, a brand-new, full length novel is to be published, in which I will be listed as Editor. You can go order your copy here.

I’m actively pursuing more editing projects.

I’m working on finishing my first novel.

I’m publishing articles for blogs and eZines.

I’m still writing and finalizing my business plan.

Life happens, and right now, I’m happy to have my income for a little while longer. I’m happy to be building a client base and generating testimonials. And I’m looking forward to some continuing education that I’ll start next week.

The ocean awaits, and I’m walking in, fully exposed. As they say, “No Fear.”
